Sexual Overexertion Recurrence
Blood circulation is governed by qi. Qi is a spark of yang born from the innate kidney water, remaining still before becoming active again, transforming into essence and blood. If sexual overexertion (1) damages this essence and blood, water becomes deficient and fire arises, qi becomes active and blood rises—how could illness not occur? Du Qi Wan combined with Mai Dong and Gui Lu Jiao is recommended for treatment. For severe fire, Da Bu Yin Wan combined with Lu Jiao and Sangpiaoxiao is recommended, or use Hu Qian Wan to treat both spleen and kidney, or San Cai Tang combined with Sangpiaoxiao, Qiushi, Hai Fen, Huangbo, and Zishao Hua for treatment. For those with blood loss, rest is the top priority; if they do not avoid sexual overexertion, they are essentially hastening their own demise, and doctors bear no responsibility for this.
[Note] (1) Sexual overexertion: refers to excessive sexual activity that depletes kidney essence.
[Commentary] Sexual overexertion damages essence, blood, and yin. With yin deficiency and rising qi, blood-related illnesses can easily recur, so Du Qi Wan, Hu Qian Wan, and Da Bu Yin Wan are recommended.
