For lung weakness and phlegm, use ginseng, grass, gelatin, and zi yuan to nourish lung yin, while anemarrhena clears fire, schisandra consolidates qi, and platycodon, fritillaria, and poria help eliminate phlegm. When fire, qi, and phlegm all move in harmony, the lungs benefit the most. Compared to Baohe Tang and Jiufei Tang, this formula falls somewhere between clarity and turbidity, allowing users to choose according to their needs.

[Note] This formula comes from Wang Haogu. Like Baohe Tang and Jiufei Tang, it can treat conditions of lung dryness and phlegm-induced cough. However, Baohe Tang clears fire and reduces phlegm, while Jiufei Tang nourishes water and clears gold, whereas this formula clears fire and reduces phlegm, while nourishing water and eliminating gold.
