Danpi 3 qian, Trichosanthes 3 qian, Peach Kernel 3 qian, Sodium Nitrate 2 qian, Rhubarb 1 qian

Internal abscesses are formed when heat toxins combine with blood; once the toxins are eliminated, the blood heat also disappears. Trichosanthes helps resolve qi stagnation, Peach Kernel and Danpi break blood clots, while sodium nitrate and rhubarb work together to dissolve blood clots, so once the clots are gone, the abscess naturally disappears.

[Note] This formula originates from "Jingui Yaolue," originally named "Rhubarb and Danpi Soup." It is used to treat intestinal abscesses before pus forms, with the effects of clearing heat, breaking stasis, and dispersing swelling. The original formula used pumpkin seeds.
