Di Yu treats bleeding, Xie Bai treats the heaviness and distension that follow, while the other herbs are standard cooling agents for blood.
[Note] This formula is a modified version of the “Di Yu San” from “Su Shen Liang Fang.” It treats bloody dysentery and bleeding.
