  1. Chicken Liver Powder (Sha Ren 9g, Zhu Sha 12g, Hai Piao Xiao 30g, Cang Shu 15g, Mang Xiao 30g, one chicken liver—first grind the four herbs into powder, then pound the chicken liver, wrap it in cloth and boil until cooked, dry it, and grind it together with Zhu Sha into powder; give 1g per year, twice daily—one in the morning and one in the evening), mainly treats infantile milk accumulation, worm infestation, and food stagnation, with symptoms such as yellowish complexion, emaciation, hair standing on end, poor appetite, or a large, blue-veined abdomen, eating sand or soil.   1. Algae-Insect Powder (30g seaweed, 6g leeches, finely ground and divided into 20 packets, take one packet twice daily with yellow wine), treats dysphagia. (“Chinese Medicine Journal” 1966.1)

  2. Five-Alum Liquid (6g gallnuts, 6g five-flavor berries, 6g alum, 2g salt—first boil the five and alum, take the supernatant and mix with salt, then boil again, take the supernatant and use 200mL externally), treats tearing in windy conditions and red, swollen eyes.

  1. Eight-Dissolution Powder (Dang Shen 12g, Bai Shu 9g, Fu Ling 12g, Gan Cao 6g, Ban Xia 6g, Chen Pi 6g, Hou Pu 6g, Huo Xiang 12g, Cong Bai 9g, Sheng Jiang 6g, Da Zao 10g), mainly treats colds in frail individuals and poor appetite.

Mnemonic: Liu Jun Jiang Zao Cong Pu Xiang.

  1. Absorption-Dispersal Decoction (Dang Gui 12g, Chi Shao 6g, Dang Shen 12g, Huang Qi 15g, Ban Xia 6g, Chen Pi 6g, Shan Yao 15g, Bai Jie Zi 3g, Jin Yin Hua 15g, Gan Cao 3g), treats subcutaneous nodules and foreign-body masses. (“Jiangsu Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine” 1966.2)
