Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment for Post-Polio Sequelae 2001.4.6
In March of the Year of the Sheep, a 9-year-old boy named Wang from Wushan County suffered from polio at the age of 3, resulting in lower limb mobility impairment that persists to this day. In recent years, as he has grown older, his movement has become increasingly inconvenient. I treated him with Fengyin Tang from “Jin Gui Yao Lue” combined with Taohong Siwu San Chong Tang and Simiao. After taking more than 20 doses, his lower limb mobility suddenly returned to normal!
Prescription: Cold Water Stone 30 g, Raw Gypsum 30 g, Red Stone Powder 15 g, White Stone Powder 15 g, Raw Ochre 15 g, Raw Dragon Bone and Oyster Shell each 15 g, Talc 15 g, Dried Ginger 6 g, Cinnamon Twig 10 g, Rheum 6 g, Achyranthes 10 g, Papaya 30 g, Gentian Root 10 g, Clematis 10 g, Rehmannia 12 g, Angelica 10 g, Silkworm Pupa 6 g, Whole Scorpion 6 g, One Centipede, Peach Kernel 10 g, Safflower 3 g, Atractylodes 6 g, Phellodendron 6 g, Coix Seed 20 g, Aconite and Herb Aconite each 15 g (decocted for 1 hour first), and One Strychnos Nux Vomica (fried in oil). Decoct twice, obtaining 600 mL, to be taken in 6 doses over 2 days.
