Recently, commonly used statins include simvastatin (Sinvata, Sevatong) 20 mg, fluvastatin (Laisike) 20 mg, pravastatin (Pulagou) 20 mg, and lovastatin (Meijiangde) 20 mg. These drugs can lower total cholesterol and also reduce triglycerides. Common side effects include elevated AST and ALT levels, as well as increased CK and PCK levels; a serious side effect is muscle pain, and in rare cases, rhabdomyolysis may occur. Dosage: 10–20 mg, once daily.
