Interferon (Interferzen) on January 6, 2003
Also known as human cell interferon, α-interferon is derived from white blood cells, β-interferon from fibroblasts, and γ-interferon from lymphocytes. α and β interferons have identical effects, achieving anti-cancer activity through shared receptors. This product is highly effective against acute and chronic leukemia, acute lymphoma, multiple myeloma, ovarian cancer, and pancreatic cancer, especially when used in combination with DTIC for melanoma treatment. It can be administered via intrathecal injection or intrapleural/intraperitoneal injection. Side effects: fever; doses exceeding 44,000 units/(kg·d) may cause high fever, bone marrow suppression, myocardial damage, severe hypertension, and contraindicated for patients with cerebrovascular diseases. Occasionally, transient liver damage, hair loss, rash, and jaundice may occur.
