Yuquan Pill for treating diabetes on May 10, 1979
The “Ten Old Poems Selection” includes a poem by Mr. Xie (Xie Juezai): “For years I’ve suffered from literary circles and thirst, after enduring prolonged drought, I finally found a spring, tried fasting and tasting ginseng, yet nothing worked—until one pill came along and solved everything.” This perfectly describes the miraculous effect of Yuquan Pill in treating diabetes! I found that Yuquan Pill is actually a prescription from “Ye Tianshi’s Secret Collection of Handwritten Formulas.”
Composition: White kudzu root 10g, Fritillaria cirrhosa 10g, Ophiopogon japonicus 10g, raw Rehmannia glutinosa 10g, Schisandra chinensis 3g, licorice 3g.
Mnemonic: “Yuquan Pill contains white kudzu root, heaven and earth meet with Ophiopogon, licorice, and sweet grass.”
Mr. Xie once had “three excesses” symptoms, and after taking this pill, his condition gradually improved.
