External Treatment for Suppurative Otitis Media 1980.4.11

1. 1g of borneol, 10mL of 75% alcohol, mix well.

2. 50mg of furacilin tablets, first wash out the pus in the ear canal with hydrogen peroxide, have the patient lie on their side with the affected ear facing up to prevent the medication from flowing out too quickly, drop 3–4 drops of the solution into the ear, then finely grind the furacilin and place it inside the ear, usually for 15 minutes, until the liquid dries and solidifies. Do this twice a day for 3–5 days.
