One Experimental Prescription for Liver Cancer Pain, January 4, 1985
One toad, 30 g of realgar. Remove the internal organs of the toad, place the realgar inside its abdomen, add a little warm water to form a paste, sew up the abdomen, and apply the toad to the painful area of the liver, securing it in place. Typically, leave it on for 15–20 minutes to achieve analgesic effects, which can last 12–24 hours. In summer, change it every 6–8 hours; in winter, every 24 hours. After two hours, the toad turns green. No adverse reactions. I once treated a patient, Mr. Chen, 49 years old, with liver cancer and severe pain in the liver region. Following the above method, the pain significantly decreased.
