Another Formula for Chronic Hepatitis 1985.9.6

Atractylodes macrocephala 12g, Phellodendron amurense 30g, Achyranthes bidentata 12g, Coix seed 30g—these constitute another basic formula for treating hepatitis. Add Poria cocos when dampness is heavy, Gardenia jasminoides when heat is severe, turmeric when there is flank pain, Rehmannia, Ligustrum lucidum, Eclipta prostrata, and Moutan cortex when yin deficiency exists, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Sparganium stoloniferum, and Curcuma wenyujin when blood stasis occurs, Princeps panax, Jujube, and Chinese yam when spleen deficiency is present, and Gardenia jasminoides and Agrimonia pilosa when nosebleeds occur. Adjustments based on these principles achieve a 78.9% cure rate for hepatitis (chronic persistent hepatitis and chronic active hepatitis).
