Prescription: Angelica 10g, white peony 15g, Chuanxiong 6g, Rehmannia 12g, Anemarrhena 6g, Phellodendron 6g, Ophiopogon 10g, Schisandra 6g, Bupleurum 10g, Moutan cortex 6g, Scrophularia 10g. Decoct in water and take one dose daily.
This formula is particularly effective for oral inflammations caused by yin deficiency and dry heat—conditions characterized by lesions, erosion, severe pain, and prolonged non-healing. I believe the oral inflammations treated by this formula fall under the categories of aphthous stomatitis and vitamin E deficiency.
