Brief Notes on Pulmonary Heart Disease 1985.12.28

The medical community is increasingly focusing on infection issues related to this disease. Pulmonary encephalopathy, formerly known as respiratory acidosis, can lead to secondary metabolic acidosis, causing patients to fall into deep sleep and even coma. In light of this, oxygen therapy practices have shifted over the years: in the 1960s, intermittent oxygen administration was preferred, whereas in recent years, low-flow continuous oxygen therapy has become more common. Since pulmonary heart disease is characterized by obvious hypoxia and severe concurrent lung infections, it easily triggers disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), resulting in frequent bleeding manifestations in clinical settings.
