A Few Words, December 20, 1993
Over the past two years, I have been busy compiling “Practical Internal Medicine of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine,” working day and night, neglecting sleep and meals. Last month, the entire book was finally completed, totaling 1.5 million characters, with a title by Chen Minzhang and a preface by Chen Keyi. Experts in integrated Chinese and Western medicine from five provinces in Northwest China all participated in the compilation, with a total of 21 editorial board members, all leading figures in the field of integration. The manuscript has now been submitted to the publisher, marking the completion of my great work! Over the past two years, too much clinical data has accumulated, and focusing on one aspect has led to neglect of another. Looking around my desk, there is a mountain of journals, conference proceedings, and internal documents that urgently need to be reviewed. Starting today, I will review them one by one, aiming to settle all outstanding matters before the end of the lunar year.
