Thin Basement Membrane Nephropathy 1994.2.25
This disease was first reported domestically in 8 cases, with the main clinical features being persistent microscopic hematuria and intermittent gross hematuria. Mild proteinuria may also occur, and a small number of patients have a family history of hematuria, suggesting a possible genetic link. All patients have normal kidney function, indicating a favorable prognosis. Under electron microscopy, the renal pathological changes are minimal, with thinning of the glomerular basement membrane being the most important characteristic of this disease.
