① Shen Zhe Zhenqi Decoction: Codonopsis pilosula 10 g, raw cinnabar 20 g, Chinese yam 10 g, Cornus officinalis 10 g, Perilla seeds 10 g, Paeonia lactiflora 20 g, raw dragon bone and oyster shell each 20 g, Euryale ferox 20 g. This formula treats asthma with reverse flow of qi that prevents lying down.

Mnemonic: Shen Zhe Shan Shan Su Hang Long Gu, Mu Li.

② Dingxin Decoction: Cornus officinalis 10 g, longan flesh 10 g, raw dragon bone and oyster shell each 20 g, sour jujube seeds 15 g, Chinese pine nuts 15 g, processed frankincense and myrrh each 3 g, honey-fried licorice 6 g.

Mnemonic: Four pairs plus one herb—treats palpitations and shortness of breath; adding Erchen and cinnabar to the above formula creates Anhun Decoction.

③ Zhenwei Decoction: Codonopsis pilosula 10 g, Atractylodes macrocephala 10 g, Astragalus membranaceus 30 g, Angelica sinensis 10 g, processed frankincense and myrrh each 3 g, Cornus officinalis 10 g, longan flesh 10 g, Achyranthes bidentata 20 g, Clematis armandii 10 g, Anemarrhena asphodeloides 10 g, fresh ginger 10 g, raw dragon bone and raw oyster shell each 15 g. This formula treats weakness and flaccidity of the limbs, even paralysis.
