According to the “Comprehensive Directory of Famous Contemporary Chinese Doctors,” there are ten major prescriptions, which can generally be categorized into the following four types: ① Prescriptions containing dried ginger, Asarum, Schisandra, and Pinellia. ② Ma-Xing-Shi-Gan type. ③ Prescriptions containing Aster, Farfara, Ginkgo, Zhejiang Fritillaria, orange peel, gecko, earthworm, Cordyceps, cicada slough, Arisaema, and Bupleurum. ④ Prescriptions containing North Sand Ginseng and Ophiopogon.

Among these four categories, the first two are commonly used classical prescriptions, the third is a modern prescription with modifications, and the fourth is the main prescription for chronic diseases with yin deficiency. I often use Jingfang Wudi Liangge San, Ma Huang Gui Zhi Hu Zi Hua, Gecko Sheng Fu Er Mu Sang, Jie Shi Zi Bei Qing Gan Nu, Da Wei Yuan Zou Liang Dang Chuan, Zhi Ke Jie Geng Qing Mu Huan (adding ginger and jujube to Zhi Ke Jie Geng), Sheng Mai San Er Chen Tang, Er Mu Huang Xing Dang Sheng Jiang, Shan Geng Sang Zhu Da Zao Xiang—all of which have shown significant clinical efficacy.
