Yu Ji Bai’s Treatment for Gastric Ptosis on July 21, 1995
Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes, Astragalus membranaceus, licorice, bupleurum, Citrus aurantium pericarp, Aucklandia, calcined brick, alum, black plum, Sichuan pepper, Platycodon grandiflorus, and licorice—boil these ingredients in water and drink. This formula is a modified version of Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang, with added calcined brick, alum, black plum, and other astringent ingredients. Adding Platycodon grandiflorus acts as a boat to carry the medicine upward, while Sichuan pepper warms the middle jiao and dispels cold, addressing the root cause.
