According to a report in the 7th issue of the "Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine" in 1994, this formula is effective in treating cysticercosis, albeit slowly but steadily. Over the past decade or so, I have formulated this remedy as Ancient Sage No. 1 and No. 2, using it extensively to treat ascites due to cirrhosis, with remarkable efficacy. Cysticercosis often affects both the liver and lungs, and these two organs are closely related in terms of treatment. However, how exactly does nitrate-alum stone powder exert its therapeutic effect?
