Note: Itchy throat triggers paroxysmal coughing! Similar to whooping cough, patients feel phlegm in the throat and cannot help but cough, with a bark-like sound. Upon closer inspection, only a few follicular hyperplasias are visible in the pharynx, indicating mild inflammation.
