Thyroid tablets 30 mg, rhubarb 250 mg, Shengdihuang 200 mg, hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg, amiloride 10 mg—all mixed together and ground into two capsules, taken three times daily, one to two capsules each time, washed down with warm water. The purpose of this formula is to promote metabolism, reduce food intake and eliminate accumulated fat, and help drain water and reduce swelling. Through these mechanisms, it can achieve the effect of weight loss and beauty enhancement. However, the dosage is relatively low: 0.25 g of rhubarb is not enough to produce a laxative effect, and 0.2 g of Shengdihuang is also insufficient to curb appetite. Therefore, when this formula was first introduced, it only had a minor impact on patients, suggesting some effect but no significant results. To achieve the goal of weight loss, the formulation must be completely revised. If we take 500 g of rhubarb, 500 g of Shengdihuang, and 100 g of thyroid tablets, grind them into powder, sift the mixture, add 100 tablets of hydrochlorothiazide and 100 tablets of spironolactone, then divide the mixture into 100 packages, taking one package daily, each package containing 5 g of rhubarb, 5 g of Shengdihuang, 1 g of thyroid tablets, 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide, and 10 mg of spironolactone, one package per day, either taken all at once or divided into two doses.
