The main symptoms of abdominal migraine are recurrent abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting, with generally good overall health. Sixty-five percent of patients (especially pediatric cases) have a family history of migraines. This condition is purely a parasympathetic nervous system excitation syndrome, treated in Western medicine with propranolol and cyproheptadine, and in Traditional Chinese Medicine with Wu Zhu Yu Tang.
