Experience with Allergic Purpura 2000.6.10

This is a capillary toxicosis. In addition to purpura, abdominal pain may also occur, which is mesenteric purpura or subserosal purpura of the abdominal organs; joint pain is due to synovial purpura, causing joint pain. Therefore, anyone experiencing abdominal pain or joint pain is considered to have Schonlein-Henoch syndrome. Western medicine typically treats this condition primarily with adrenal corticosteroids, which provide immediate relief but have an almost 100% recurrence rate, rendering them ineffective in the long run. Traditional Chinese medicine offers a wide variety of formulas and approaches for treating purpura, with proven efficacy. In my own practice, I have consistently achieved remarkable results, recognizing that this condition is a wind-heat dampness syndrome that, if prolonged, invades the blood level. The treatment involves dispersing wind-heat, clearing heat and detoxifying, and promoting blood circulation to remove stasis.
