Professor Zeng and others at Beijing Medical University reported that oxymatrine (QXY) can inhibit the hepatitis B virus in vitro and turn surface antigen negative in vivo, with a 12% conversion rate after 90 days and a 44.5% e-antigen conversion rate. Its efficacy is comparable to interferon. Treatment method: For the first 45 days, inject 600 mg of QXY intramuscularly once daily; for the next 45 days, inject 400 mg of QXY intramuscularly once daily, with 90 days constituting one course of treatment. Additional tonic formula: 60 g of kushen, 30 g of huangqi, 15 g of ginseng roots, 6 g of licorice, which effectively treat low white blood cell count, low blood pressure, and low immunity. In recent years, this formula has shown effectiveness in treating hepatitis B, with kushen being the main ingredient.
