This is a fluvastatin capsule, 20 mg per capsule, indicated for hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, and arteriosclerosis of the brain, heart, and kidneys. Among the three major risk factors for arteriosclerosis in these target organs, hyperglycemia is the primary risk factor, followed by vascular spasm, and then high blood pressure. Lisinopril targets the primary risk factor, making it highly effective on its own.
