Answer: A comprehensive examination is required. First, we need to check the abdominal cavity, especially the pelvic region, for any masses that might be compressing the ureters or bladder, which could lead to bilateral hydronephrosis. We should also examine the urine for protein, occult blood, pus cells, and white blood cells. Furthermore, inflammation of the ureters or bladder can also cause hydronephrosis.
