2. Postpartum Cervical Erosion
Question: I have mild cervical erosion after childbirth, but I did not have any gynecological infections before delivery. Forty-two days postpartum, I was diagnosed with this condition. Due to breastfeeding, I was only given topical medication, but it didn’t work. After follow-up examinations, the condition still hadn’t improved, and the doctor said it couldn’t be completely cured. What should I do?
Answer: Cervical erosion is a common and frequently occurring condition. It is most often associated with gynecological infections. During pregnancy, the peripartum period, and menstruation, new cases of cervical erosion tend to increase because the body’s immune function fluctuates along with changes in endocrine and autonomic nervous functions, thereby increasing the risk of cervical infection.
