3. Femoral Head Necrosis with Effusion
Question: I previously had femoral head necrosis and treated it with traditional Chinese medicine. I stopped taking the medicine five years ago, but later, climbing mountains caused effusion. After intravenous anti-inflammatory treatment, the pain disappeared, but it keeps recurring. What can be done to treat femoral head effusion?
Answer: For femoral head necrosis, the best current treatment is hip replacement.
