Answer: Female acne is often a manifestation of low estrogen levels and relatively high androgen levels. Twenty-five-year-olds are a common age for acne outbreaks, but it’s nothing to worry about; the condition usually improves after marriage. Disfigurement is rare and typically occurs only in patients with scar-prone constitutions. For those without scar-prone constitutions, the skin returns to normal after acne heals.
