13. Uterine Fibroid Recurrence After Surgery
Question: Uterine fibroids were surgically removed via laparotomy, but recurred five months later. Is herbal treatment effective? What dietary precautions should be taken?
Answer: For unmarried women, if the fibroid is less than 2 cm in diameter, surgical removal is unnecessary, as it’s better for fertility. Especially subserosal fibroids do not affect menstruation or fertility. Surgery, however, can impact uterine and ovarian function, affecting future health and fertility.
