6. Nickname
My wife is one month pregnant and currently has a poor appetite, eating very little. She has also been vomiting frequently these past two days. Is this a normal reaction? Additionally, even before pregnancy, my wife’s belly was larger than others’ (she easily gains weight). Could this be due to metabolic obstruction? What methods can be used to regulate this condition? Is it related to her current situation?
A: This is still considered a pregnancy reaction. A more severe case is called pregnancy-induced nausea and vomiting, for which traditional Chinese medicine has good therapeutic effects. It is recommended to consult a TCM doctor, but treatment must be based on syndrome differentiation; one should not simply take any random prescription. If necessary, intravenous fluids can be administered to adjust electrolyte balance.
