My wife is one month pregnant and currently has a poor appetite, eating very little. She has also been vomiting frequently these past two days. Is this a normal reaction? A: This is still considered a pregnancy reaction. A more severe case is called pregnancy-induced nausea and vomiting, for which traditional Chinese medicine has good therapeutic effects. It is recommended to consult a TCM doctor, but treatment must be based on syndrome differentiation; one should not simply take any random prescription. If necessary, intravenous fluids can be administered to adjust electrolyte balance.
