Chronic Diarrhea
Question: I’ve had diarrhea for two weeks straight. It improved a bit a few days ago, but today it seems to have flared up again, possibly because I ate ice cream. What’s going on?
Answer: This is spleen-stomach qi deficiency combined with yang deficiency, which Western medicine calls irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). I recommend trying Fuzi Lizhong Wan, Qiwei Baizhu San, and Shenling Baizhu San.
