Postoperative Recovery for Ovarian Tumor Surgery
Question: My mother just turned 60 and recently underwent ovarian tumor removal surgery at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Lanzhou University. The tumor was already at an advanced stage. After the surgery, she received intraperitoneal chemotherapy with carboplatin and intravenous paclitaxel, but because she’s too weak, I’m worried she won’t be able to continue with further chemotherapy. Could you please advise if traditional Chinese medicine can help alleviate her condition and prevent recurrence?
Answer: Yes, traditional Chinese medicine can be used for postoperative recovery in such cases. By applying syndrome differentiation and individualized treatment, it can improve quality of life and prolong survival.
