Blocked Fallopian Tubes
Question: Before marriage, my menstrual cycle was regular. After one year of marriage, I still haven’t conceived. An examination revealed blocked fallopian tubes. After a tubal patency test and three months of medication, there’s been no improvement; in fact, my periods have become increasingly irregular, and now I’m not menstruating at all. Other hospitals say my fallopian tubes are patent. We’ve been married for three years and still want to have a child.
Answer: You may be suffering from adnexitis or pelvic inflammatory disease, which is the root cause. Blocked fallopian tubes are caused by inflammation; simply performing a tubal patency test isn’t enough. The underlying adnexitis or pelvic inflammatory disease must be treated. Rural women often don’t pay enough attention to menstrual hygiene, leading to varying degrees of gynecological inflammation, which needs to be addressed. Traditional Chinese medicine offers numerous effective treatments. Many couples who remain childless after marriage can eventually conceive following appropriate treatment, provided there are no special contraindications.
