Thyroid Nodules and Menstruation
Q: My menstrual flow is very light, but I still have my period every month. I’ve previously had thyroid nodules and goiter. Are these two conditions related?
A: Simple nodular goiter has no direct relationship with menstruation. However, if it’s accompanied by hyperthyroidism (low TSH) or hypothyroidism (high TSH), then it can affect the menstrual cycle.
