Question: What are some good treatments for bursitis? I’ve had it for half a year, undergoing daily physiotherapy, but the fluid accumulation is minimal and swelling isn’t severe.
Answer: Synovitis is typically a pathological manifestation of degenerative osteoarthritis. Western medicine finds sodium hyaluronate injections effective, but they cannot provide a permanent cure. TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment, however, can be highly effective. Additionally, joint tuberculosis and systemic lupus erythematosus can also cause joint cavity effusion, which is considered specific types of synovitis.
