Question: My uncle has advanced liver cancer with a tumor measuring 17.2 cm. He underwent one interventional procedure, but the effect wasn’t very obvious. Previously, he had mild abdominal distension and pain, but after taking your prescribed medication, his abdomen became even more distended on the first and second days, and his appetite decreased. What could be the reason?

Answer: Giant liver tumors typically have a life expectancy of only 4–5 months. For such cases, TCM and traditional Chinese medicine can, to some extent, prolong life and improve quality of life. Don’t stop taking the medication just because it causes stomach bloating—doing so would mean abandoning the only method that can, to a certain degree, extend life and enhance quality of life.
