Question: My mother has completed chemotherapy for lymphoma and is in relatively good spirits. How can advanced-stage lymphoma be cured? Some say chemotherapy is less effective than TCM—what should we do?
Answer: There are two types of lymphoma: Hodgkin’s lymphoma and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. For Hodgkin’s lymphoma, the prognosis is better, the disease course is longer, and 4–6 rounds of chemotherapy are usually sufficient. For non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, the prognosis is poorer, requiring six rounds of chemotherapy followed by periodic maintenance therapy, and radiation therapy may also be necessary.
