Question: My uncle has advanced liver cancer with a tumor measuring 17.2 cm. He’s undergone one interventional procedure, but the effect hasn’t been very noticeable. Previously, he experienced mild abdominal distension and pain, but after taking your prescribed medication, his abdomen became even more bloated on the first and second days, and his appetite decreased. What could be the reason?
Answer: Giant liver tumors typically have a life expectancy of only 4–5 months. For such cases, TCM and traditional Chinese medicine can generally extend life and improve quality of life to some extent. Don’t stop taking the medication just because it causes stomach bloating—doing so would mean abandoning the only method that can prolong life and enhance quality of life.
