I am 26 years old and have been experiencing hair loss for five years. My symptoms include extremely oily hair, redness of the scalp, and a few small red bumps. Is there any way to treat my condition?
Answer: There are two types of hair loss: ① alopecia areata, also known as patchy baldness, which is relatively easy to treat—consistent therapy usually yields positive results; ② seborrheic alopecia, which is more difficult to treat. In my over 50 years of medical practice, I have yet to successfully cure a single patient with this type.
