3.4 Practical Significance of Treating Liver Cancer with Pei's Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill
Liver cancer has an insidious onset, and most patients are diagnosed at intermediate or advanced stages, resulting in poor prognoses. With the development of medical immunology and molecular biology, significant progress has been made in the diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer. However, modern medicine still faces many challenges in treating liver cancer, such as patients' inability to tolerate surgery, high costs of liver transplantation, and severe side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Traditional Chinese medicine, on the other hand, has advantages such as fewer toxic side effects, prevention before disease onset, and prevention of disease progression after onset, and can prevent the occurrence and development of tumors by regulating the body's immune function, gaining increasing attention in clinical practice.
Pei's Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill has been continuously refined and improved through more than forty years of clinical practice under Mr. Pei's guidance, demonstrating remarkable efficacy. However, systematic research and organization of its mechanisms are still lacking; only a few specific indicators have been tested. This experiment aims to establish a small mouse H22 liver cancer model to analyze the effects of Pei's Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill on the tumor weight, tumor suppression rate, thymus index, and spleen index of H22 tumor-bearing mice, observe its impact on the expression of P27 and Bcl-2 proteins in tumor tissue, and further explore the anti-tumor mechanisms of Pei's Soft Liver and Anti-Bloating Pill, providing a solid theoretical basis for its clinical application.
