Xinzi Lung-Nourishing Paste

One sheep’s lung, washed; four qian of apricot kernels; five qian of persimmon frost; five qian of real butter; three qian of real flour; five qian of white honey.

Grind everything into a paste, mix well, and apply it to the lungs, then simmer until cooked. Real flour refers to white flower flour. Real butter refers to colored sheep milk; if unavailable, black sesame can be crushed and used instead. The formula takes the lungs and the lungs’ qi as one, using various nourishing medicines to supplement them. The meaning is very simple and easy to understand, yet the formula is extremely effective.

[Comment] This formula originates from “Ten Medicinal Divine Books.” It nourishes and moistens the lungs, especially suitable for blood-related conditions.
