The heart governs the production of blood, while the spleen governs the containment of blood. Yangrong Tang focuses on treating the heart, whereas Guipi Tang focuses on treating the spleen. Since blood is generated in the spleen, Yangrong Tang tonifies the spleen to benefit the heart. The spleen's earth element is born from fire, so Guipi Tang guides the heart fire to nurture the spleen. In summary, when the spleen has sufficient qi, it can contain blood without leakage.

[Note] This formula originates from "Jisheng Fang." Like Yangrong Tang, it tonifies qi and blood, but the difference lies in that Yangrong Tang primarily treats the heart, while Guipi Tang primarily treats the spleen.
