This formula is designed to treat external eye diseases (1), and is also suitable for treating eye-related bleeding. It uses various ingredients to clear heat and reduce fire, preventing fire from spreading upwards and thus eliminating eye diseases. Saposhnikovia alone is used to remove wind, which generates fire; when wind is removed, fire naturally subsides. Artemisia, on the other hand, is used to drain moisture and clear heat, so when moisture evaporates and heat is suppressed, the heat itself disappears.

[Note] (1) External eye diseases: refers to diseases of the eyelids, inner and outer corners of the eyes, white sclera, and black sclera. Diseases can also be called "obstacles."

[Note] Eye-related bleeding is bleeding from the tear ducts, which are connected to the Yangming meridian. Blood and fire share the same color, so blood is fire. This formula drains the fire of the Yangming, thereby treating eye-related bleeding.
