4. Addressing Side Effects of Radiation and Chemotherapy in Gynecological Cancer Treatment

Surgery is often the first choice for cancer treatment, followed by radiation and chemotherapy. For cancers affecting the ovaries, uterine cavity, cervix, and other areas, post-surgical radiation and chemotherapy can yield positive results—but the side effects are severe. Most patients can endure only four cycles before they become overwhelmed, primarily experiencing gastrointestinal and hematologic reactions; in severe cases, patients may develop pericardial effusion or pleural effusion. Western medicine’s injections of Rui Bai and Ju He Li Sheng Bai Xu only offer temporary relief. Traditional Chinese Medicine, through differentiated diagnosis and treatment, can help alleviate these side effects.
