Ran Xuefeng’s Seed Soup, July 20, 1977
Ran Xuefeng was a renowned physician in modern China, and in the 1930s he was collectively known as one of China’s “Four Great Physicians” alongside Zhang Xichun from Hebei, Shi Jinmo from Beijing, and Cao Yingfu from Shanghai. Ran Xuefeng stated: “Seeds generally serve to consolidate essence in men and regulate menstruation in women. If there are no reproductive abnormalities in either sex, with essence consolidated and menstruation regulated, the chances of conception will naturally return.” Huang Qi 60g, Dang Gui 60g, Gui Zhi 60g, Bai Shao 180g, Gan Cao 30g, Sang Piao Xiao 60g, Fu Pen Zi 60g, Che Qian Zi 60g, Tu Si Zi 60g—grind all into powder, mix with honey to form pills about the size of an orange, take 10–12 pills twice daily with warm water. Regular use of this formula can lead to conception, with menstruation occurring slightly earlier or later than usual; it is particularly suitable for those with cold uterus and poor circulation.
