Pu Fuzhou’s Empirical Formula, September 30, 1977
Red ochre 15g, Citrus medica 15g, Chicken gizzard membrane 9g, Glycyrrhiza 6g, Bletilla striata 9g, Sepia officinalis 15g. Decoct in water and take one dose daily. Master Pu modified this formula to treat epigastric pain, and I found it highly effective for severe pain associated with gastric and duodenal ulcers. Thus, I created the mnemonic: “Zeigu Baicao Shijin Xiang.”
