Retinal Hemorrhage – May 20, 1978
Wang Hui, the 5-year-old son of Wang Jianrong, a Lan Chemical automobile driver, suffered a right retinal hemorrhage due to trauma, resulting in vitreous opacity and vision reduced to 0.1. After examination by Director Zhang Lingzhi of Lan Medical, it was determined that the child's vision could potentially improve to around 0.3 in the future. I then prescribed traditional Chinese medicine for him.
Formula: angelica sinensis 12g, white peony 9g, white atractylodes 9g, poria 12g, bupleurum 9g, peppermint 6g, danpi 6g, shanzhi 9g, rehmannia 12g, cornelian cherry 6g, yam 9g, zeolite 9g, chrysanthemum 15g, goji berry 9g, seashell 9g, che qian zi 9g, raw gypsum 30g, gui zhi 9g, seaweed 9g, kelp 12g, summer wilt herb 15g.
After taking this formula with adjustments for over 100 doses, the child's vision improved day by day, eventually rising to 0.7. Director Zhang was greatly surprised by the effectiveness of this case and reviewed all the prescriptions, praising the meticulous compilation.
