Qin Jiao 10 g, Turtle shell 15 g, Cortex Lycii 10 g, Silver Bupleurum 10 g, Picrorhiza kurroa 6 g, Artemisia annua 10 g, Anemarrhena asphodeloides 10 g, Glycyrrhiza 6 g. Mnemonic: Qin Jiao, Turtle shell, Cortex Lycii, Silver Bupleurum, Picrorhiza, Artemisia, Anemarrhena, Glycyrrhiza. This formula is called Qinggu San and is specifically used to treat bone-steaming dampness and yin-deficiency internal heat, conditions that typically occur in the later stages of fever, when excessive heat damages yin. Modern medicine believes this condition is due to autonomic nervous system dysfunction after fever, and it is common among menopausal women and those with arteriosclerosis.
